Total MD is pleased to announce the addition of Marc F. Matarazzo, M.D.

Dr. Marc F. Matarazzo is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience specializing in sports medicine and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and an active member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Dr. Matarazzo is dedicated to providing advanced orthopedic care.
His expertise spans minimally invasive procedures, complex reconstructions, and joint replacements of the shoulder and knee. He is certified in the MAKO robotic-assisted knee replacement system and has a special interest in cartilage restoration and preservation.
Dr. Matarazzo earned his medical degree from The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University (now Drexel University College of Medicine). He further specialized in sports medicine and arthroscopy through a fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he served as Assistant Team Physician for the New York Jets, the New York Islanders, and the athletic departments of Hofstra University and Hunter College.
Before joining Total MD, Dr. Matarazzo spent nearly two decades serving Palm Beach County and the South Florida region. He held an academic appointment as Medical Director of the Athletic Training Program at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he was the Head Team Physician for over ten years. He also served as Head Physician for Palm Beach State College and multiple Palm Beach County high schools.
In 2020, Dr. Matarazzo was invited to lead the launch of the Sports Medicine Department at Christus Trinity Clinic in Longview, Texas. There, he oversaw a team of certified athletic trainers, providing care for East Texas Baptist University, LeTourneau University, and more than ten local high school football programs. His leadership extended to game-day medical coverage, weekly training room visits, and Saturday morning injury clinics.
