Myrtha Jura-Pierre, MD

Dr. Myrtha Jura-Pierre attended the State University, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Haiti where she graduated with honor in 1997. After completing 3 years of residency in Internal Medicine and being ranked the top of her class of 2001, Dr. Jura started her practice in Haiti and immigrated later in the United States where she served in the Public Health Field and Research through the Florida Department of Health from 2003 to 2014. She became an active member of the Florida Public Association (FPHA) and has received several awards and recognitions from the Florida Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Dr. Jura successfully completed the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and earned her ECFMG Certification in 2015. She volunteered in Internal Medicine at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida. Later she completed her training in Family Medicine at HIMA San Pablo Fajardo, Puerto Rico where she was awarded the Certificate of Excellence for being one of the top of her class. She is currently licensed to practice Family Medicine in Puerto Rico and Florida and has been practicing as a Primary Care Physician in Florida since 2019. Dr. Jura also served as the Preceptor for the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Medical Students. She speaks fluently English, Creole, French, and Spanish. Dr. Jura is an active member of the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Haitian Medical Association Abroad (AMHE).

Dr. Jura is a devoted wife and mother. She enjoys traveling, interior design, reading, spending quality time with her family and is very involved in her local church and community activities.
