Roosevelt “Choy” Espenilla, PT, is a Florida-registered Physical Therapist with 20+ years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation. He joined The TOTAL MD family in 2007 after moving from Tampa, FL working for a national rehabilitation company. His previous work experience includes working with various professional football and hockey teams, as well as college and high school athletes recovering from orthopedic and sports-related injuries.

Roosevelt received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Perpetual Help in the Philippines in 1991. In addition he took post-graduate education in Business Administration at Troy State University in Alabama. Roosevelt has been featured in newspaper articles promoting the profession of Physical Therapy as well as encouraging regular exercise and healthy lifestyle.

“Choy” as he is well-known to his patients, specializes in evaluating and formulating the right plan of care for various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He is also well-trained in delivering a variety of conservative management techniques to treat physical disorders; including manual therapy, application of heat or cold therapy, use of electrotherapeutic modalities, and implementing specific therapeutic exercise activities tailored to effectively provide the best possible results.
